A. This service is free to all registered students
Q. From where can I access my e-mail account?
A. You can access your e-mail from any computer with internet access
Q. Why should I regularly check my CAU e-mail?
A. Your CAU e-mail is where you will receive all official communication from the institution, e-mail from your instructors, and other important student information
Q. What do I enter when I am asked for my username?
A. Your username is your student identification number with the letter “M” placed before it. Example: student ID 12345 translates to M12345
Q. What do I enter for my password?
A. Your password initially is your birth date in the following format: month, date and year (MMDDYYYY). Example: March 1, 1976 is 03011976
Q. How much space do I have to store e-mail?
A. All students have been given a mailbox quota of 100Mb in which to store their mail. Once you have reached your mailbox limit any mail sent to your account will be rejected. A notice will be sent to the sender
Q. Are there any restrictions on attachments?
A. All mail sent and received in the student email system must be less than 10Mb in total size (including attachments)
Q. What is the POP server address?
A. The incoming address is pop3.emailscout.net and outgoing server addresses is Smtp.emailscout.net
Q. I am not receiving any email messages. What's wrong?
A. You could have exceeded your quota. To check if you have exceeded your quota please login and check your available space
Q. I deleted an email by mistake, can I get it back?
A. When you delete an email item is transferred to your trash folder. You can retrieve the message by navigating to the trash folder and moving the item to your inbox.
Q. What should I do if I forget my password?
A. Click on the lost password wizard. If you have a secret question, you will be prompted for an answer. If you answered correctly, you may reset your password. If you have not previously set a secret question, please contact the MIS Office.
