BACHELOR
OF SCIENCE IN PSYCHOLOGYThe Bachelor of Science in Psychology program is designed
for high school graduates as well as for working professionals.
Classes are scheduled during day, evening and Saturdays, to meet
the needs of our students.
The undergraduate program
is designed as a specialized major in Psychology to serve as a foundation
for professional development or as preparation for advance graduate
study. Courses are designed for high school graduates as well as
for working professionals with evening and Saturday class schedules.
The program provides the student with theoretical knowledge
and practical skills gained through classroom experiences in
a supervised setting. Students obtain field experience through
a mental health clinic, social service agency, rehabilitation
facility, hospital, school or some other setting where mental
health services are offered to clients. You will study with professionals
who are active in their fields and know the job markets, in a
small classroom setting with a personal atmosphere.
Field experience practicum is available to students beginning
at the bachelor level. Training is provided in a multicultural
atmosphere.
Transfer and CLEP credits are accepted. If transferring from
an accredited institution, a maximum of sixty (60) credit hours
may be transferred from an Associate's Degree or ninety (90)
credit hours from a four-year college or university. Foundation
courses may be fulfilled at another accredited institution simultaneously
while enrolled at CAU.
