Dr. Susana Blanco completed her doctoral training at University at Albany, State University of New York, her master's level training at University of Miami and her undergraduate training at Towson State University. She completed her clinical internship at Boston Medical Center's Center for Multicultural Training, and her post-doctoral training at Edith Nourse Veteran's Hospital in Bedford, MA. As a post-doctoral fellow, she was responsible for designing and implementing an Intimate Partner Violence prevention and intervention program and continues to work closely with her colleagues there to ensure continued success of the program. Although her major clinical and research interest continue to focus on family violence, her other areas of interest include multicultural counseling, social justice, supervision training, and feminist psychology.
