DiDona, Toni, Ph.D. Associate Professor, I/O Practicum Coordinator, Master Programs Department
Dr. DiDona earned an Associate degree from Emory University, a Bachelor in Psychology from University of Miami, and Master of Social Work and Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Florida International University. She holds a license in Clinical Social Work, is a qualified Board approved clinical supervisor for mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists, and is a Board Certified Diplomat in Forensic Assessment and Counseling, and Child Evaluation. She is also an assessor for professional development coach for the federal government.
Dr. DiDona joined our adjunct faculty in 2003. In 2004, she joined our full-time Master’s Programs faculty team. Her deep sense of commitment to departmental needs was evident during her first month with us when asked to coordinate the I/O program instead of the mental health counseling major for which she was originally hired. Dr DiDona has won awards for outstanding dedication as a faculty member (2005 & 2007) and won the faculty of the year award in 2007.
Prior to joining CAU, Dr. DiDona held various research, clinical and administrative positions with the Department of Neurology at University of Miami’s School of Medicine; Miami Children’s Hospital, the Epilepsy Foundation of South Florida, Biscayne Rehabilitation Center, and Alternate Family Care. She was also an adjunct professor with Barry University, and Florida International University as well as a full-time Visiting Professor with Florida Atlantic University.
Dr. DiDona continues to serve CAU as the faculty advisor for Nu Sigma Psi. She also maintains an active private practice, providing continuing education for licensed professionals nationwide at ce-classes.com.
